Rains wreak havoc in Dadu district, flood more than 350 villages


Torrential rains wreaked havoc in Dadu district, Sindh province as the current spell continued, triggering flash floods, and due to breaches in Nai Gaj Dam at several places, over 350 villages are flooded.
According to details, more than 350 villages in Sindh's Dadu district have been affected by flash floods coming from the Kirthar mountains. 
As per media reports, in Kachho area, several villages were inundated by floods in mountain streams and the mud houses totally destroyed.
On the other hand, the power system was disrupted after the electricity pole collpased. 
Similarly, the villages of Union Council Dargh Bala, Sauro, Chhni, Tando Rahim Khan and Wahi Pandhi are most affected areas.
Victims are facing difficulties due to non-arrival of rescue teams in several areas.Moreover, more than 300 villages have been inundated due to embankment of Gaj river damaged.

Coronavirus fears: PIA extends closure of flight operations to China

Pakistan International Airline (PIA) on Thursday has extended the suspension of the flight operations to China until March 31 amid corona virus fears. The PIA announced suspension of flights to China from February 24 to March 15, and it was said that it would decide to extend the flight closure or not in March.  It is now reported that the national airline has increased its flights closure from March 16 to March 31. PIA spokesman said a decision on whether to extend or lift the ban will be made at the end of March. It is to be noted that, the corona virus that erupted from China last December has claimed 3,285 lives and infected over 95,000 worldwide. The said virus has been confirmed in five people in Pakistan, however, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza said that the condition of all coronavirus patients is out of danger and they all are in good health. 4 Dead, 30 Injured in Nawabshah Road Accident

Sindh News At least four people have been dead and 30 others were injuried when a passenger bus turned turtle due to over-speeding in Nawabshah, here on Sunday. Accoridng to the details, an incident was took place Qazi Ahmed when ill-fated bus was travelling from Mansehra to Karachi when it overturned in Qazi Ahmed. According to Motorway police said that the accident was caused by speeding.  Upon being informed, the Motorway Police, Edhi rescue teams reached the scene and pulled the dead and the injured out of the overturned bus, shifting them to Qazi Ahmed Regional Health Center.  Nine people were in critical condition and transferred to District Hospital Nawabshah.
